Across Belize continues! In August 2007, I bicycled across the country of Belize to increase cultural awareness and to raise money for the work that Rivers of World continues to do in Belize. It was a great success! Now the expedition continues without bikes!
My Belizean friends in the southern most jungle village of Crique Sarco have asked me for their assistance. The principle of the only school in the village is in dire need of basic school items. I have told them that I would do my best to get these materials for them. I truly believe that education is the best way for individuals in developing countries to create a better future for themselves and their families. How can these children live a sustainable life without basic educational tools?
On the back is a list of materials they are asking for. Can you help? If I'm able to collect all they need, then I plan to make a special trip down to deliver all the school items in person. I will also take many pictures and video so you can see first hand the students receiving your gifts. That’s where this becomes your
EXPEDITION! If you would like to donate an item, please contact me at
336-254-1717 (cell), or email me at
Scott@AcrossBelize.org. Since I will have to purchase some heavier items once I arrive in the country, you may also give monetary donations. Checks can be made out to Alamance Presbyterian Church (4011 Presbyterian Road, Greensboro, NC 27406).
